Berlin, Germany, 5-6 May 2026 | The Pre-LSDemo project has officially launched following a highly successful Kick-Off Meeting that brought together more than 120 participants from across Europe for two days of collaboration, discussion, and strategic planning.
Representatives from industry, research organisations, public authorities, and European mobility networks gathered in Berlin to initiate the project and establish a shared vision for the activities ahead. The event featured plenary sessions and interactive workshops across all work packages, creating a strong foundation for cooperation among partners and stakeholders.
The Kick-Off Meeting marked the beginning of Pre-LSDemo’s mission under the Horizon Europe programme. The project will support the coordinated preparation of future large-scale demonstrations of Connected, Cooperative and Automated Mobility (CCAM) across Europe. By fostering collaboration among key actors in the mobility ecosystem, Pre-LSDemo aims to help accelerate the deployment and societal acceptance of innovative CCAM solutions.
A central focus of the project is societal readiness, ensuring that technological advances in automated and connected mobility are aligned with the needs, expectations, and concerns of citizens, communities, and public authorities. Through a coordinated European approach, Pre-LSDemo will contribute to creating the conditions necessary for successful large-scale demonstrations and future implementation of CCAM technologies.
The strong participation and active engagement during the Kick-Off Meeting highlighted the shared commitment of all partners to achieving the project’s objectives.
